I would be glad to have even gotten that 0xB stop screen though. What do you mean by “injecting the right driver”? I have in my test lab one ICH7 system that doesn’t work at all, and one that works kind of OK but has problems. Sign up for a new account in our ahcl.
I just went through this process and I don’t think it made any difference with the SSD. See TracTickets for help on using tickets. Note that passwords are case-sensitive. But what does it mean by achi mode”?

Not sure if you ever figured this out, but I finally solved a similar issue: Closed 5 years ago. My desktop now boots nearly as fast as my Surface RT. The cable just says “SATA” on it.
I have personally ahcci ICH7 based systems that work fine, some that don’t work at all, and others that kind of work unreliably in AHCI mode. Or sign in with one of these services Sign in with Facebook.
Windows 7 hangs after longer inactivity of user — also tried messing with power settings with ahxi luck. As you can see from the timestamps in the above image, I did the upgrade just about a month ago.
It even BSOD’d just now. I’m unable to install the latest Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers, as the installer keeps giving the “Your computer does not meet the minimum requirements” message. Things would have ended there but a few weeks later they took down my review of the product from their site and sent me a mail demanding I change my review it was rated 3 star initially and I upgraded it to 4 star with details of all that was happening. I had the same problem with the same drive, so I uninstalled 7-zip if you have it and disabled my antivirus while I was cutting and pasting, and it works perfectly now.
It turned out to be Intel’s Rapid Storage Technology software that caused the issue. The BIOS reports something like this at bootup too: Opened 5 years ago Closed 5 years ago.
It seems like this BIOS has quite a few misnamed options. Password Please enter a password for your user account. This one was confusing to find at first too. Feel free to remove ahck and reclaim the entire space. So what does this mean?
